Yom & The Wonder Rabbis debut album With Love was released in 2011. At the time, the project clearly marked the rise of a new stage and a new generation of musicians producing a music that unashamedly blended their passions for music from elsewhere, surprising and different, with a claimed pop-culture. Clarinets from Eastern Europe, Turkey and the Middle East then crossed the vibes of Radiohead, Portishead, Sigur Ros and The Cure, playing in Jazz festivals, World Music festivals as well as Rock and Electro clubs and festivals.

Yom, one of the most productive and versatile artists in France (one album and one aesthetic reinvention per year for the past 10 years found on his latest compilation Yom by Yom) has since explored other, more intimate, regions in constant search of spirituality, crossing the Sinai desert with Le Silence de l'Exode, exploring the lands of the great American West with Songs for the Old Man, questioning sacred spaces with organist Baptiste-Florian Marle-Ouvrard and the duo Prière.

The return of Yom & The Wonder Rabbis next season unequivocally reprojects this step towards the dancefloors and conjoint the virtuosity that has made the clarinetist's reputation, to the constant invocation of the Holly Ghost and to electric and contemporary transes, both trash and cheerful. A clarinet line that connects intellect, heart, guts and feet after all these years.
