Women’s stories are usually kept in the dark. With this project, I wanted to bring their stories forward; to see their amazing lives and decisions and to learn from their experiences, because past is always necessary in order to go to the future. And their stories become also our collective history. So what do we have from the past? What is our his herstory?

I asked these women what is women’s empowerment for them, what they wish for the future and if they have something they inherited from their mother or grandmother that is precious to them. Enjoy their thoughts, take their recipes, and then, if you please, answer as well the question: What is women’s empowerment for you? Was heißt women‘s empowerment für euch?
